"I have no idea who came up with that quote, but my old boss used to repeat it all the time. At that time, I found it quite rude and ignorant for someone to say that in times of struggle. As I got older and (hopefully) a little more wiser, I understood that it is a quote to live by. Nothing good has even came out of worrying, crying, over-thinking, speculating etc. It is what it is and if you can't change it - you must let go. Your energy is too precious to be wasted on Sisyphean labour!"

My Favourite Quote: Leann Middlemass, Wellness coach

My Favourite Quote: Daniel Trani, eCommerce entrepreneur/stay at home dad

I read this quote about five years ago and at the time I thought what a great quote by an exceptional man, Theodore Roosevelt Jr. the 26th American President.
I found that at that point in my life I was yearning for a change but like most people change is hard and as humans we are creatures of habit so we tend to stick with what we know. I couldn't stop thinking about this quote however and I found an image on the internet with Theodore Roosevelt Jr. and the quote. I printed it out and laminated it. 

I must have read it a thousand times and finally it sunk in and I began to change aspects of my life through actually going out and putting myself in the "Arena". Fail or succeed I was going to pursue my dreams, goals and design my own lifestyle. 

The laminated quote sits on my bed side table, it even travels overseas with me and reminds me daily that you deserve only what your'e willing to fight for, fail or succeed it doesn't matter. 

I hope you find this as motivating or inspiring as I have and I hope that it may resonate with one or more of your readers and help them change their life.

My Favourite Quote: Hemda Mizrahi,

As a high schooler, I had a poster on my bedroom wall with this quote from Albert Camus. I love how these words evoke a warmth, brightness, and optimism that offer encouragement when times are dark and hard, especially during long stretches of turmoil or ambiguity. It’s a reminder that, beneath the stillness and heaviness of frozen ground, icy waters, and bare trees, vitality exists in the workings of nature. We are gifted with inner resources that are fertile if we decide to cultivate them. This is the underlying premise of coaching and consulting as I see it. The capability of an “invincible summer” exists and needs to be engaged, rather than created. 

I recently came across additional lines of this quote that were not included on my bedroom poster, which elaborate on Camus’s philosophy:

“And that makes me happy. For it says that no matter how hard the world pushes against me, within me, there’s something stronger – something better, pushing right back.”

Camus was a French philosopher, author, and political journalist, as well as a producer of theater and a playwright. He was born in French Algeria in 1913 and later lived in France. He passed away in 1960, at the age of 46.

Why I do what I do: Caroline Fenton, Avidiva

Caroline Fenton's passion for natural baby products started after a traumatic experience when her own son was born. Here's Caroline's story of why she does what she does...

1. Tell us a bit about your job and how you got to where you are now?
I own and manage my online baby boutique at 
It all started as a unique and personal collection of gifts and goodies for little ones. When my son was born early at 30 weeks, we spent 3 months in NICU before we were allowed to bring him home. The journey we went on was pretty epic, full of challenges and lots of unknown. No new mum journey is easy but this really was a way to be thrown in at the deep end! With lots of time spent researching and sourcing natural products, looking into what really is best for bub, I wanted to share this with other mummies. We now have a range of gift boxes, support local businesses as well as source globally to bring you a beautiful collection of all natural baby products and gifts.

2. What do you love most about your job?
The fact that I am my own boss! I source the products, chat with the brands, decide whether or not to take on new lines…I have learned so much about marketing. About social media. About web techy stuff. It’s amazing just how many hats you need to wear… but I really do love it all! It’s not easy, and it’s certainly been a challenge, but it’s a great one!

3. What’s your life mantra? 
Don’t let anyone dull your sparkle. Cliché maybe, but all too true! We are all full of this positive energy and natural want to succeed and be happy. But all too often we compare ourselves to others, or doubt our own abilities. Just keep on going, and keep believing, and don’t let anyone (including yourself!) tell you otherwise!!

4. What else would you be doing if you didn’t do what you do?
I would either be teaching English or working in Marketing somewhere. Or maybe completing by Masters in Psychology. See, I’m undecided! Who knows what I would be doing…

5. What’s the best gift you’ve ever received?
Oooh a toughie. Not all too exciting but a purse from my sister. A really lovely real leather wallet that was just what I needed, but I wouldn’t never have treated myself to!

6. What’s the best gift you’ve ever bought someone? 
Even tougher! Probably a set of garden mugs for my Mum! She is forever out in the garden, and they have this awesome little lid on to keep the flies away and then use for your biscuits too! Plus they had some lovely garden flower design on. Can you tell I was pretty chuffed?!
